On May 13, the delegation of Universal College of Learning (UCOL) headed by Amanda Lynn, Chief Executive of UCOL, visited SSPU.Arthur Chin, Executive Director of Business Development, Christine Beech, Director and Communications, Dean Rankin, Executive Dean of Faculty of Humanities and Business, and Danny Reilly, Executive Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Applied Technology were in the delegation. President Yu Tao and Vice President Mo Liangjin met with the guests.
President Yu warmly welcomed the delegation and introduced SSPU history, development and international cooperation. Having reviewed the collaboration between the two sides, President Yu said that both universities shared many similarities and established good cooperative relationship based on mutual trust. He expected that both sides, giving full play to each other’s advantages, would formulate a development plan to make an all-round cooperation in various fields benefiting teachers, students, and development of both sides. Ms. Lynn introduced the basic information of UCOL and its cooperation with universities in China. She expressed the willingness of further exchange and collaboration in the future. The two sides had a discussion on cooperation in language teaching, student exchange, teacher mobility, etc.
The delegation afterwards visited Smart Manufacturing Factory Lab, Engineering Training Center and School of Applied Arts & Design at SSPU. They also met with representatives from College of Engineering, School of Economics and Management, and School of Applied Arts & Design, and discussed about the fields and forms of cooperation. The guests also had a field trip to Baoshan Wisdom Bay Innovative Park.
Heads of International Office, College of Engineering, School of Economics and Management, and School of Applied Arts & Design attended the activities.
