On the morning of June 17, the delegation of University of Bolton headed by Assistant Vice Chancellor Richard Thomas, visited SSPU. The two sides held the signing ceremony at SSPU Academic Exchange Center. SSPU Vice President Mo Liangjin and Richard Thomas, Assistant Vice Chancellor of University of Bolton, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (renewal) on behalf of each university. Ben Chen, International Team Leader, Zhou Erping, Reader of School of Engineering, Wang Zhigang, Director of China Office, and heads of International Office, College of Engineering, School of Economics and Management, and College of International Vocational Education attended the ceremony.
Before the signing ceremony, both sides had a meeting. Vice President Mo welcomed the delegation, and thanked Bolton for their strong support to the cooperation between the two sides. He hoped that the two universities could explore more fields of collaboration through discussions. Assistant Vice Chancellor Richard Thomas spoke highly of the development and internationalization of SSPU and expressed the intention of working together with SSPU to push forward in-depth cooperation since SSPU is an important partner of Bolton in China. The two sides exchanged ideas about the future cooperative possibilities.
During the visit, the delegation also had a lab tour to the Smart Manufacturing Factory Lab, Engineering Training Center and Shanghai Collaborative Innovation Center for WEEE Recycling.
