Recently, Shanghai Graduate Academic Seminar for Resource Recycling and Sustainable Development was held at SSPU. The seminar was hosted by Shanghai Academic Degree Committee and organized by SSPU.
The seminar had keynote speeches, guest reports, special reports, and reports by graduates.The experts and scholars from Shanghai University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered keynote speeches focusing on zero waste city, household wastes, power battery of new energy vehicles, etc. The experts and scholars from Tsinghua University, East China Normal University, Wuhan University of Technology, and Dalian Jiaotong University were invited to give reports to share achievements in regard to emerging pollutants, new technology of sewage sludge treatment and so on. In addition, special report about wastes management and treatment technology was also given on the seminar. 9 graduates also reported on their research subjects and there was also on-site Q&A and comments on the reports by experts.
The seminar has received nearly 100 papers from Tongji University, Shanghai Normal University, Huaqiao University, etc. After expert evaluation, 2 papers won the first prize, 5 the second prize and 10 the third. Over 150 graduates and teachers from SSPU and other universities heard the reports and exchanged ideas with each other. The event also organized the graduates a visit to Shanghai Laogang Solid Wastes Treatment Co., Ltd. for learning the technological difficulties and hot issues of solid wastes.
