On Sept. 26, SSPU Symposium for Discipline Development of Materials Science and Engineering and Shanghai Academic Seminar for Key Laboratories of Engineering Materials were held at Academic Exchange Center. Experts and scholars from East China University of Science and Technology, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, Shanghai University, Deakin University (Australia), Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Donghua University, etc. were invited to give reports. Xu Haiping, Director of Research Administration Office, presided over the meeting.
Vice President Xie Huaqing delivered the welcome speech in which he expressed heartfelt gratitude to the presence and guidance of all the experts, and expected their further support to the development of SSPU Materials discipline. The main topics of the reports on the symposium focuses on the latest research development in the application of materials and energy, including energy conversion/storage materials, chip materials/information storage, controllable synthesis of semiconductor nanomaterials, photo/electro-catalysis, sensors, flexible conductive materials, two-dimensional soft materials, smart nanomaterials, etc. The experts brought the latest and cutting-edge academic research achievements for the teachers and students of materials discipline, playing an important role in promoting the discipline development of Materials Science and Engineering.
