Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization recently issued a notice, announcing that Pudong Intelligent Manufacturing Industry College has been approved as one of the first batch of Shanghai Key Modern Industry Colleges. The project was applied by the School of Intelligent Manufacturing and Control Engineering of SSPU. The university, together with Shanghai Jiaotong University, Tongji University,East China University of Science and Technologyand some other universities, has become one of the first 14 universities to launch the project.
SSPU will take this as an opportunity to continue exploring effective integration with local economic and social development to match regional industrial development, reconstruct the curriculum system and optimize teaching content with the latest industrial and technological achievements, focus on improving the connotation of traditional engineering programs, establish a new sharing mechanism for information, talent, technology and material resource, and build an applied innovative talent training system that is industry demand-oriented, features cross-field training and supports and leads industry development. By using the resource sharing mechanism and the collaborative education mechanism, the projects aim to build a batch of well-known and demonstrative modern industrial colleges in China that integrate functions such as talent training, scientific research, technological innovation, corporate services, student entrepreneurship, etc.
