The semi-final
of the 4th China College Students’ Internet Plus Innovation and
Entrepreneurship Competition was held at Fudan University. SSPU students won
five bronze awards and one winning prize.
The competition, hosted by Shanghai Municipal
Education Commission, Shanghai Municipal Human Resource and Social Security
Bureau, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization and Communist
Youth League of Shanghai, aims to deepen reform in innovation and
entrepreneurship education, guides universities to take initiative in serving
the national strategy and regional development, and encourages the youth to
respond to the rural revitalization strategy and targeted poverty alleviation
with the achievements gained through innovation and entrepreneurship. Compared
to former contests which had four categories such as innovation group, start-up
group, growing group and entrepreneurship group, an extra catalogue “Red Dreams
of the Youth” was added in this year’s competition. The competition attracted
up to 35,000 participants with 8500 projects of over 60 universities. Nearly
1000 SSPU students with 243 works participated in the contest, and eventually 6
projects were selected to the municipal competition after three rounds of
internal training and selection.
