From Mar. 26 to 28, the 10thShanghai College Student Comprehensive Ability Competition for Engineering Training, also Tryout of 7thNational College Student Comprehensive Ability Competition for Engineering Training was held at Tongji University (Jiading campus). The competition was hosted by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission. 84 teams made up of nearly 400 students from 16 universities in Shanghai, including Shanghai Jiao Tong University, participated in the competition. 8 SSPU teams won 5 special awards and 3 second prizes.

This year, SSPU teams took part in “Basic Engineering” section and “Intelligent +” section. Basic Engineering section consisted of two programs—potential energy driven vehicle & thermal energy driven vehicle, while Intelligent + section was divided into 2 programs including intelligent logistics robots and intelligent garbage classification.

National College Student Comprehensive Ability Competition for Engineering Training is a major national competition composed of three different levels—university level, provincial level and national competition. The Shanghai competition this time is also the Tryout of 7thNational College Student Comprehensive Ability Competition for Engineering Training.
